Peace Lily Plant

🌸 Appearance

  • Leaves: Large, glossy, dark green leaves.

  • Flowers: White hood-like spathes surrounding a yellowish spike (spadix).

🌿 Care Tips

  1. Light: Thrives in low to medium indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch leaves.

  2. Watering: Keep soil moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry.

  3. Temperature: Prefers temperatures between 65–80°F; avoid cold drafts.

  4. Humidity: Likes higher humidity—mist leaves or use a humidity tray.

  5. Soil: Well-draining potting mix with peat moss works well.

  6. Fertilizer: Feed monthly during growing season with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer.

🌱 Special Care Notes

  • Peace Lilies can bloom indoors, especially in low light, but need a rest period afterward.

  • Brown leaf tips often indicate low humidity or over-fertilizing.

  • They are excellent air purifiers and remove toxins like benzene and formaldehyde from the air.

📌 Fun fact: Despite its beauty, Peace Lily is toxic to pets and humans if ingested, so keep it out of reach of curious cats, dogs, or children.
