Here are aspects you should verify / decide when buying:

Parameter	Typical Values or What to Ensure
Seating capacity	Usually 2 children. For older kids maybe larger seats or backrests.
Seat material	Rubber belt / moulded plastic / FRP / fibre / sometimes wood. Ensure it’s durable, safe (no splinters, firm).
Frame material & size	MS pipe / GI pipe. Top bar diameter maybe ~ 40-50 mm ID; leg supports similar; thickness enough to handle load + dynamic stress.
Height above ground / swing clearance	Enough height so the swing arc is safe. Also swing seat must be some distance above ground so feet clear ground.
Safe area / fall zone	The area around the swing must be clear: front-back space for arc; side clearance; usually a rectangle area (e.g. 3m × 1.5m or more depending on height).
Finish / coating	Powder coating / galvanisation to avoid rust; good paint quality; UV stable if plastic parts.
Load rating / age group	Make sure it says what age group or weight it is built for. E.g. 4-12 yrs or up to certain kg.
Bearings / joints / chain	Heavy duty chain; good joints; safety features to avoid fingers getting pinched; chain coated or rubber covered ideally.
